COURSE OVERVIEW

Students will gain a more detailed understanding of centralized network management capabilities within XIQ-SE. This includes not only built-in tools but also customization options available within the platform.

Device firmware management, configuration management, and reporting capabilities are covered. These concepts are reinforced through hands-on lab exercises using a pre-configured network environment.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is designed for individuals responsible for overall network management using ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine.

MANDATORY PREREQUISITE

The ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine Installation and Configuration certification is a mandatory prerequisite for this course. The recommended learning order for the XIQ-SE track is: Installation and Configuration, Management, Advanced Configuration, and Troubleshooting.

Students should possess an understanding of network fundamentals, general network management concepts, and network security technologies. Extreme Networks also recommends the following courses prior to enrolling in the XIQ-SE track:
• Campus Switching
• ExtremeCloud IQ – Controller (formerly Extreme Campus Controller – XCC) or Wireless Core

• Manage device firmware via XIQ-SE
• Create and manage device configuration archives
• Access, generate, and customize reports in XIQ-SE
• Take the XIQ-SE – Management exam
