COURSE OVERVIEW

Students will be introduced to network management and visibility using the Extreme Networks management platform, ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine (XIQ-SE). Using the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Network Management Model, these concepts are reinforced through hands-on lab exercises in a pre-configured environment.

Students will perform real-world tasks related to installation and basic configuration of XIQ-SE, while also exploring network visibility features and device configuration tools.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is designed as the first step for individuals responsible for the installation and configuration of ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine.

MANDATORY PREREQUISITE

This course is a mandatory prerequisite for all XIQ-SE courses. The recommended learning order is: Installation and Configuration, Management, Advanced Configuration, and Troubleshooting.

Students should possess an understanding of network fundamentals, general network management concepts, and network security technologies. Extreme Networks also recommends the following courses prior to enrolling in the XIQ-SE track:
• Campus Switching
• ExtremeCloud IQ – Controller (formerly Extreme Campus Controller – XCC) or Wireless Core
